KTUH Fall 2021 Radiothon

THE STATION THAT LOVES YOU is excited to announce that the Fall 2021 Radiothon, "LIVE AGAIN", will start on November 5th and run until November 14th.

Our radiothon theme plays upon the double meaning of the word LIVE. We are all trying to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic and go back to LIVING our normal lives AGAIN. While at the KTUH studio, we are in preparations to hopefully bring back our Monday Night LIVE shows, and this time we want them to be bigger and better than ever for our performers and, most importantly, our viewers/listeners.

For those of you who are not familiar with MONDAY NIGHT LIVE, the tradition dates back to the 1980's. It originally started as casual kanikapila (music sessions) called THE PAKALOLO PATCH and later evolved into a benchmark for Hawaii's underground musicians. The program has existed in various ways for 15 years and is now what we call MONDAY NIOHT LIVE. This weekly event features up and coming talents, and has included performances by John Cruz, and Ragamuffs who have found success in the music industry.

Unfortunately, this show has been put on hold due to COVID-19 restrictions. With hopes of continuing this event in the near future, we have developed a GOAL OF $52,000 to evolve Monday Night Live even further, and potentially host a live audience! The breakdown of the tiers that we are looking to fundraise are bellow, and includes items that will draw in prospecting talent, while also improving the experience for our viewers/listeners. If you wish to donate before the start of the Fall 2021 Radiothon you can participate in our Pre-drive from October 11th to November 4th. Donations of $60 or more will receive a limited edition Fall 2021 RADIOTHON PRE-DRIVE BUNDLE that includes a set of two hot sauces as well as a pair of sunglasses that is only available as a pre-drive promotion.

FALL 2021 RADIOTHON FUNDRAISING TIER LIST - TOTAL GOAL: $52,000

Their 1: Restarting Monday Night Live - $15,000

These funds will go towards purchasing an electric piano, drum set, and other music equipment for the Monday Night Studio. It will also aid in the transformation needed to turn our current studio into a live music venue that can host a live audience.

TIER 2: Digital Media Studio Buildout - $22,000

The goal of $22,000 will be used to improve the quality of livestreams on our social media accounts, making Monday Night Live viewable in the comfort of your own home. Our hope is to create an experience for our viewers that utilizes high definition, 360° video technology.

TIER 3: Monday Night Live Album - $5,000

Using these funds, a collectible Monday Night Live album that includes the recording of live performances, will be made available for our featured performers, as well as our listeners who want to enjoy these moments over and over again.

TIER 4: Radio Market Report

Our final tier will help us obtain a copy of our radio market report, which helps us understand the demographic of our listeners. This will not only help us cater to the likes of our audience, but also entice new talent and underwriting support for our station.
